Ingredients
4 Oranges peeled & cut into segments
Juice of 1 orange
1/3 cup Carstor Sugar
1 tblspn Orange zest
4 tblspn Cointreau (optional)
3 Star Anise
3 Cardamom Pods – Bruised
Miris Dessert Dukkah
Chocolate Sauce
3/4 cup dark chocolate buttons
300 ml thickend cream
Vanilla Ice-cream / use Coconut Ice Cream recipe below
Method
Add sugar & orange juice, orange zest, cardamom and star anise in a small pan & cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves & thickens into a syrup consistency. Do not over boil as it will burn & turn into toffee! Remove from the heat & pour over orange segments – Chill in refrigerator! Serve orange mixture with a slice of coconut ice-cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce & Dessert Dukkah.
Chocolate Sauce
Warm cream in a pan. Add chocolate into cream & mix until chocolate has melted (Do not Boil!) Pour sauce into a gravy boat & set aside.
